The 181 to 470 kW water-cooled diesel engine drives all driving, tuning and drilling functions. The functions of feeding and removing the hydraulic power rotating head occur using a rack and pinion mechanism. Due to the 45 t pull-off force, as well as a torque of 18,000 Nm, a drilling well can be from 800 to 2,600 m long and from 800 to 2,200 mm in diameter.
